The Swiss Discovery Tour takes you to one of Europe’s most popular tourist destinations. With beautiful snow-capped mountains, breathtaking surroundings, crystal-clear lakes, stunning scenery, and excellent shopping, Switzerland is the place to visit. Arriving in Geneva, home to the Red Cross and the United Nations, we will make our way to the winter wonderland found in the mountain towns of Grindelwald and Zermatt, exploring some of the highest peaks in the region, taking in the breath-taking views from Mount Titlis and Jungfrau, and traveling to the timeless city of Bern and the economic powerhouse that is Zurich to enjoy shopping sprees at some of the best designer outlets in the country.

Day 1: Geneva – Chamonix

Arrival at Geneva airport, greeting by our local guide, and start of our transfer to Geneva. Our first stop will be the United Nations office and the monument of the broken chair. From there, we’ll head into the city center, stopping at Lake Geneva to admire the Jet d’Eau, then on to the Flower Clock and the Unification Statue, St. Pierre’s Cathedral, and the world’s longest bench. After lunch, we will cross the French border into Chamonix, where we will enjoy the beautiful views of Mont Blanc and the many shops along the river before proceeding to the hotel for check-in and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Chamonix – Zermatt – Grindelwald

After breakfast, we will begin our transfer to Tasch, and from there we will take a scenic train ride to Zermatt, where we can climb the mighty Mutterhorn or admire it from below, and explore the lovely town. After lunch, we will begin our transfer to Grindelwald for check-in and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Grindelwald – Lauterbrunnen – Interlaken – Grindelwald

After breakfast, we begin our day with a visit to Lauterbrunnen Valley, where we explore some of the largest free-falling waterfalls in Europe. From there, those who wish will climb the Jungfrau Mountains, and for those staying behind, Grindelwald offers a wide range of activities, from the famous cliff walk to the tobogán slides down the lush green valley. In the afternoon, we will visit the town of Interlaken for free time and shopping before heading back to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Grindelwald – Itselwald – Bern – Zurich

After breakfast, we will begin our transfer to the canton of Bern, stopping in Itselwald to admire the emerald-colored water of Lake Brienz. Once in Bern, we will explore the capital, seeing live bears at the Pit, visiting the Bernsminster, Switzerland’s tallest cathedral, walking by Einstein’s house, and admiring the puppet show displayed every hour at the Zytclogge. From Bern, we will head to the Rhine Falls to admire the most powerful waterfall in Europe. We will then head to the hotel in Zurich for dinner, check-in, and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Zurich – Engelberg (Mt Titlis) – Lucerne – Zurich

After breakfast, we will transfer to the town of Engleberg to take the cable car up to Mt. Titlis, where you will be able to walk on the highest suspension bridge in Europe and explore the glacier caves. After lunch, we will transfer to Lucerne for a city tour, see the famous Lion Monument, the Chappelbrukke, and enjoy a nice walk along the river followed by free time for shopping and exploring the old town. After dinner, we will head to the hotel in Zurich for an overnight stay.

Day 6: Zurich – Landquart Fashion Outlet – Zurich

After breakfast, we will transfer to the Landquart fashion outlet, where we will have some free time to shop before transferring to the Lindt Chocolate factory for a tour of the research plant and the world’s largest chocolate shop. From there, we head to Zurich for a city tour, where we will see the sights of its iconic skyline, such as the Grossmunster, Fraumunster, and St. Peters Church, or enjoy the most luxurious shopping at the Bahnhofstrasse. After dinner, we will head back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 7: Zurich – Airport

After breakfast, we will transfer to the airport. We will be there four hours before the departure time.
